Felipe Curco Cobos, PhD in Political Theory. He received his PhD on Political Theory by the University of Barcelona, specializing on contemporary political thought.  He was a Fulbright scholarship holder in social sciences and professor  at the University of Barcelona. He has also been a professor at UNAM in the Faculty of Philosophy. He has taught various courses in Mexico and abroad.  Presently he is a full time associate professor and investigator in the Academic Department of Political Science at ITAM. In Mexico he has been a collaborator and tertullian of Judicial Federation TV Channel.  He is author of the books Ironia y democracia liberal (2009), La Guerra Perdida (2010), Teoría del voto e ignorancia racional (2022, UNAM-IIF) and Psicología Política (2023, Bonilla Artigas Editores).

He was a scholarship holder by the Institute of Philosophical Research (UNAM) and was awarded the Gabino Barreda Medal. He has been a member of National System of Researchers since 2009. He is a level I national researcher. His most recent publications have been on the debate between Latin American political philosophy and European political thought ("Latin American Political thought Before discourse Ethics", In Latin American Research Review, vol, 50. No 4), the question being whether there exist or not normative elements on Marx's thought, (“ Is there a normative theory of Justice in Marx?”,  in Topicos, 52)  and the normative and moral analysis about  the violence in Mexico (“Gewalt  und das nackte Leben in Mexiko in Zeine des Imperiums" in Krieg und Freide:  Politisch Kulturforschung, Peter Lang Edition, Samuel Salzborn/ Holger Zopf (Hrs.)
